The Brookhaven community is indeed a haven that lies a mile north of Buckhead. It is surrounded by Grant Park Atlanta which is the oldest and 4th largest park in the whole city. It also houses Zoo Atlanta, the Civil War Museum, and the Atlanta Cyclorama or the world’s biggest oil painting. The historic private college known as Oglethorpe University is considered as the community’s major landmark as well as the Brookhaven Country Club. The social scene can be found at the Peachtree Rd and Dresden Rd intersections. The Brookhaven neighborhood is all about upscale living in a traditional community.
